Our co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer, John Brownless, will once again host his annual Spanish charity golf day this May in aid of the charity Prostate Cancer UK.
Taking place on 23 May 2026 at the stunning Vistabella Golf Club in Costa Blanca, the popular event has become a fixture in the calendar for golfers looking to enjoy a fantastic day on the course while supporting an important cause.
John - a prostate cancer survivor and father to two sons - has dedicated years to raising both awareness and vital funds for Prostate Cancer UK. In total, he has raised more than £200,000 over the years - a remarkable achievement that has seen him recognised by the charity for his commitment and impact.
This year, due to the popularity of the golf day event, there will be two shotgun starts - at 8:30am and 2pm - with each session allowing over 25 teams. Demand for places has been so strong that the event is now completely sold out, marking another fantastic show of support for John’s fundraising efforts and the work of Prostate Cancer UK. The event is open to teams of four, with prizes for the first, second and third place teams.
Speaking ahead of this year’s event, John said: “This is now the seventh golf day I have hosted in Spain. These days are about much more than a round of golf. They’re a chance to bring people together, enjoy each other’s company and, importantly, create space for conversations that men don’t always have enough of - about their health, about prostate cancer, and about getting checked.
“If we can raise awareness, encourage even one person to seek advice earlier, and raise vital funds for Prostate Cancer UK at the same time, then that’s a day incredibly well spent.”
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer affecting men in the UK, and early diagnosis can make all the difference. Through events like this, John continues to help shine a light on the importance of awareness, open conversation and action.
As well as the annual golf day in Spain, John also hosts a golf day in Shipley, West Yorkshire, in September each year, as well as hosting Gala dinners, and taking part in walking, cycling and running events for the charity.
We’re incredibly proud to support John’s efforts and the extraordinary difference he continues to make.
