John is a respected strategic leader and facilities management professional with over 30years' experience of helping organisations to achieve sustainable growth, strengthen governance and improve operational performance.
As Chairman of Litmus FM, he provides the Board with strategic oversight and guidance, supporting the business in delivering its long-term vision, growth objectives and commitment to excellence. Drawing on his extensive experience in facilities management, business development, and operational leadership, John collaborates closely with the executive team to promote innovation, good governance, and sustainable commercial success.
His career has spanned some of the UK's leading support services organisations, including Sodexo, Compass Group and Balfour Beatty Workplace. In these roles, he developed a deep understanding of both public and private sector markets, as well as honing his business development leadership skills. Throughout his career, he has successfully delivered more than 500 winning tenders, with a combined contract value exceeding £1.4 billion.
Currently, John supports clients and colleagues through strategic advisory work, thought leadership and sector engagement. His areas of expertise include organisational growth, market strategy, procurement, asset management, FM transformation and client partnership development.
Alongside his professional responsibilities, John is a passionate advocate for men's health and serves as an ambassador for Prostate Cancer UK. Through fundraising initiatives, awareness campaigns, speaking engagements and community events, he has helped to raise significant funds and increase awareness of prostate cancer across the UK. His charitable work reflects his strong personal commitment to making a positive difference beyond the workplace by using his profile and network to support one of the UK's leading cancer charities.
John is also a certified member of the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM).
